Family at SplashpadSpring Break 2020 will be here soon, and now’s a great time to make plans for time with the kids.

This year, skip the airport restroom lines and cross-country road trip meltdowns and take your family on a spring break staycation in your hometown.

There’s no better place around the Tampa Bay area for a staycation than The Florida Aquarium, where families can spend time close to home and get in a bit of “globetrotting” at the same time.

During spring break, March 16-20, there’s a whole world of aquatic animals to see, while discovering ongoing activities around every corner of the Aquarium.

Guests can enjoy spring break traveling through Florida’s wetlands trails, then journey to Madagascar, and stroll through our mesmerizing Waves of Wonder gallery. Families can experience the new aesthetically compelling art installation Washed Ashore – Art to Save the Sea, along with guest’s favorites such as Moon Bay – our moon jelly touch experience all designed to spark compassion, curiosity, and conservation of the natural world.

Our special enhanced spring break programming includes a jam-packed schedule of over 30 activities that will keep you and your family engaged for hours, including animal encounters, feedings, enrichment, and hands-on experiences.

However, Spring Break 2020 fun doesn’t end on March 20; The Florida Aquarium is taking things back to the 90’s during its 25th-anniversary celebration with extended hours at the Aquarium event on Saturday, March 21. Families will be able to witness the ambiance of the Aquarium at night and get a fish-eye view onboard our Bay Spirit II (for an additional cost) of downtown Tampa from the decks of The Florida Aquarium’s 72-foot double-deck catamaran.

Click on the links below for the full schedule of animal encounters, ongoing activities, dance party, extended hours event, and much more.
