Day of Discovery
The Florida Aquarium, in partnership with the Center for Autism & Related Disabilities (C.A.R.D.) at the University of South Florida, is hosting a Day of Discovery presented by Bonefish Grill from 8am-9:30am, on Saturday, June 25th. A Day of Discovery provides an Aquarium experience specifically tailored to individuals with sensory differences and their families.
To address the needs of our diverse audiences, Day of Discovery has limited capacity and is reserved for families and children with sensory differences and/or accessibility challenges. Special effects, lights, and music will be reduced. Day of Discovery is free for members and $10 for qualifying non-members.
A Day of Discovery provides an aquarium experience specifically tailored to individuals with sensory differences and their families. Special effects, lights and music will be adapted for those with sensory differences.
Day of Discovery will take place on Saturday, June 25 from 8am-9:30am.
Admission to Day of Discovery is intended for those with sensory differences and/or accessibility challenges and their families.
Tickets are $10 per person and complimentary for Members. Tickets must be purchased in advance here and are non-transferrable. Members can reserve a complimentary ticket by logging into their account.
Due to limited capacity walk up tickets may not be available.
Free parking will be available at the Aquarium’s surface parking lot, north of the Aquarium from 7:45am-9:30am. The Aquarium cannot validate or reimburse for parking in the garage or non-Aquarium lots.
Yes. The event is free to members but a ticket is still required to attend the event. This allows the Aquarium to maintain a capacity limit.
Yes. Sounds and lights will start at 9:30am for general admission.
At this time, masks are optional.
The aquarium’s costume characters will make an appearance along with special animal ambassadors. The three touch habitats (Stingray Beach, No Bone Zone, and Moon Bay) will be open.
Yes, the Splash Pad will be open from 8am-9:30am as well as the dry side play area.
No, they will not. Café Ray opens at 10am and the Gift Shop opens at 9:30am.
