Education Volunteer

Educate and Inspire

Join our team of engaging education volunteers! New education volunteers will have the opportunity to learn about the species receiving world-class care at The Florida Aquarium with the goal of effectively sharing their stories with our guests as together we strive to inspire the protection and restoration of our blue planet!

Onsite Opportunities

The Florida Aquarium, Downtown Tampa, Ages 18+

New education volunteers onsite at The Florida Aquarium will begin their Aquarium volunteer program at our touch experiences, assisting guests and helping to ensure animal safety. From there, they will learn to deliver both informal and formal discussions, provide interpretation at specific habitats and, most importantly, share their love of the natural environment with our guests!

Volunteers must be 18 years of age or older and commit to a minimum of six months with eight hours of volunteer time per month.

Education volunteers must participate in an online training session before starting a volunteer shift at The Florida Aquarium.
