Day of Discovery

A Day of Discovery – Presented by Bonefish Grill

The Florida Aquarium, in partnership with the Center for Autism & Related Disabilities (C.A.R.D.) at the University of South Florida, is hosting a Day of Discovery presented by Bonefish Grill.

A Day of Discovery provides an Aquarium experience specifically tailored for the enjoyment of individuals with sensory differences and their families.  The entire campus will be open for exploring; including engaging touch habitats featuring moon jellies, stingrays, anemones and so much more! The Splash Pad will also be open – so plan to bring a bathing suit, water shoes (optional) and a towel.  Back by popular demand – the 501st Tampa Bay Legion! From a galaxy far, far away, this cast of characters will safely roam the Aquarium for an unforgettable adventure. Café Ray will also be open during this event.

The admission to Day of Discovery is only for families and children with sensory differences and/or accessibility challenges. Special effects, lights and music will be adapted for those with sensory differences. Tickets must be purchased in advance; members can reserve a ticket by logging into their account. Parking for this event is free in The Florida Aquarium lot located north of the Aquarium off the east side of Channelside Drive at York Street.  Tickets are non-transferrable.
