Plastic Free Eco-Challenge
Ditch the Plastic!
Our team is dedicated to inspiring, facilitating and creating change. Won’t you join us in participating in the Plastic Free Eco-Challenge? This 31-day global challenge aims to inspire the reduction and refusal of single-use plastics. Various teams from across the nation come together in a friendly competition to create and inspire plastic-free habits across six action categories: food, personal care, community, lifestyle, pets, and family. By committing to simple plastic-free actions in your everyday life, you can help protect and restore our planet and create a more sustainable future.
We’ve picked out a few tips to help you reduce plastic use:
- Bring reusable bags when shopping, including produce bags.
- Give up gum or choose gum made from plastic-free gum bases.
- Replace dish soap with a bar or refillable option.
- Pack reusable cutlery, drinkware and containers in your/your child’s lunch.
- Support sustainable products and businesses.
Scale back or eliminate plastic use with a host of easy and inventive actions like these from each of the six action categories.
We invite you to join The Florida Aquarium’s Plastic Free Eco-Challenge team and help us take action to care for our ecosystems.
