Spring to the Gulf Teacher Professional Development Program

A NEW one-year program focusing on 4th and 5th grade (Hillsborough, Pinellas, Pasco and Manatee Counties) on the Tampa Bay watershed to introduce teachers to the following topics: human impacts to Tampa Bay, how these actions may impact flora, fauna, and habitats in the future, and techniques to encourage students to make positive stewardship behaviors to reduce our impacts. SUBMISSION DEADLINE: April 4, 2019.

Tanks to the Ocean Webisode Series

The Florida Aquarium is excited to provide webisodes which focus on different aspects of the natural environment. Take a journey to discover the natural world above and below the water's surface! Learn about sharks, sea turtles, oysters, fishes of the wetlands, marine mammals, and coral.


Field Trips

Dive in to an amazing undersea experience with a field trip to The Florida Aquarium.

 
 

Teacher Study Program

This program is designed to provide qualifying VPK-K-12 grade classroom teachers, assistant principals, and principals, actively teaching in a Florida public, private, or charter school, admission to the Aquarium to plan and/or prepare for a field trip. 

 

To apply for the Teacher Study program, please complete the application form below. Approved applicants will receive complimentary admission through August 31, 2019.

Applications must be completed online. Approval may take up to 72 hours. Walk-ups, or applicants who have not received an approval email will be required to pay full Aquarium admission.

  • Review the FAQs for elibigility
  • Complete the application form below. Incomplete, or improperly completed applications, will not be approved.
  • Public school teachers, assistant principals, and principals: Please provide your Florida Department of Education Number (found on your Florida Department of Education Educator Certificate.)
  • Private school teachers, assistant principals, and principals: If you are certified through the Florida Department of Education, provide your Florida Department of Education Number. If you are not certified through the Florida Department of Education, please upload documentation with the form below to provide a letter from your principal / supervisor certifying employment.
  • Upon approval, you will receive your electronic Teacher Study program pass to the email address provided. If you do not receive a notification e-mail after submission, please check your SPAM folder.
