Accessibility and Guest Experience FAQs

The average visitor spends approximately two hours at The Florida Aquarium.

For the safety of our guests, staff, and animals, no weapons of any kind (including firearms, pocket knives, pepper spray, etc.) are allowed on campus. Security cameras are placed in strategic areas throughout the campus. Guests are not allowed to carry concealed or displayed firearms on Aquarium property. Police, in clearly identifiable uniforms, are allowed to carry and display firearms on Aquarium property. If “concealed” firearms are observed, please notify a Security or Guest Services staff member.

The Florida Aquarium is committed to creating a safe, comfortable and enjoyable experience for our guests. Avoid foul, abusive, or obscene language or gestures. Please drink responsibly. Consumption of alcohol by impaired, intoxicated, or underage guests will be handled in a prompt and safe manner. Clothing considered to be indecent, obscene or offensive in nature and/or that detracts from our family-friendly atmosphere will not be tolerated. Costumes are not allowed except if previously authorized by management. Follow staff directions in case of emergency. You can read our full code of conduct here.

No, masks are optional.

Service animals are always welcome at The Florida Aquarium. Under the ADA, service animals are dogs trained to perform specific tasks for people with disabilities. They must be harnessed and under control at all times. Please note that emotional support animals and pets are not considered service animals and are not allowed inside. In some cases, additional restrictions may apply due to strict animal care guidelines for the animals in our care. To address the needs of our diverse audiences, The Florida Aquarium offers Day of Discovery experiences specifically tailored to individuals with sensory differences and their families. Days of Discovery are hosted by The Florida Aquarium in partnership with the Center for Autism & Related Disabilities (C.A.R.D.) at the University of South Florida. Wild Dolphin Cruise FAQs

The Wild Dolphin Cruise sets sail daily at 1 PM and 2:30 PM, weather permitting.

Yes, there is ample seating on the first and second floor.

No, stroller/wagon parking is located next to the boarding area.
