The Florida Aquarium Celebrates 30 Years with New Board Leadership
As The Florida Aquarium celebrates its 30th anniversary, the nonprofit is welcoming two new members to its board of directors and announcing Kristin Greco, CEO of PAR, Inc., as its new board chair. Greco has served in multiple Board leadership roles with the Aquarium and brings deep organizational leadership experience to this new position.
John Couris, President & CEO of Tampa General Hospital, will remain on the Board as an immediate past chair. “Kristin is an exceptional leader whose commitment to this community and to The Florida Aquarium runs deep,” said John Couris, President & CEO of Tampa General Hospital. “Her strategic mindset, passion for protecting marine life, and long-standing connection to the Aquarium make her uniquely suited to lead this organization into its next era.”
New board members include:
Brian Adcock, President of Adcock Financial Group
John Beacham, CEO & Founder of Toorak Capital Partners
This milestone year comes as The Florida Aquarium advances its historic $45 million multi-year expansion with the opening of The Tide Pool touch habitat this summer, educates more than 2 million children, and expands research, conservation, and community impact across Tampa Bay and beyond.
“Having dedicated board members who share our commitment to conservation and community impact is essential to The Florida Aquarium’s continued growth and success,” said Roger Germann, President and CEO of The Florida Aquarium. “With Kristin Greco as our new board chair and these accomplished leaders joining our existing board, we are well-positioned to advance our shared purpose and guide the Aquarium into its next exciting chapter of growth and distinction as a world-class cultural attraction, tourism driver and the state’s preeminent aquarium.”

“It’s an honor to serve as board chair during such an exciting moment in the Aquarium’s history,” said Kristin Greco, CEO of PAR, Inc. “My family has cherished The Florida Aquarium for decades—supporting its mission across generations—and I’m proud that PAR is both the presenting sponsor of the MORPH’D gallery and one of the Aquarium’s early Sea Change donors. As we celebrate 30 years and look ahead to transformational growth, I’m inspired by the opportunity to help advance world-class conservation, education, and community programs that will shape and strengthen our region for years to come.”
Since opening in 1995, The Florida Aquarium has welcomed more than 20 million guests and generated an annual economic impact of approximately $275 million. Its teams have rehabilitated and released hundreds of marine animals while advancing global research in coral conservation and sea turtle recovery. In the coming years, the Aquarium will further enhance the guest experience with the addition of a puffin habitat in 2027, California sea lions—a first for Florida’s west coast—and an expanded African penguin habitat in 2028.
