Some of the animals at The Florida Aquarium got an early Halloween treat with festive pumpkin surprises designed for fun and enrichment. Cayenne, the tamandua, which is a type of anteater, used his impressive claws and long tongue to dig into the pumpkin and savor his treat.
Liana, the two-toed sloth, took her time exploring a jack-o-lantern while nibbling on squash—one of her favorite snacks.
Remy, Annie, and Lulu, the ring-tailed lemurs, each got a pumpkin and festive buckets filled with fresh greens, a fun twist on their typical diet.

Guests can enjoy more seasonal fun at The Florida Aquarium, including the Day of Dead event this weekend (November 1-2), and YuleTides, the Aquarium’s coastal holiday tradition that kicks off on November 28. For more information and to purchase tickets, visit flaquarium.org.
