Planning Your Aquarium Field Trip
Take your students on an unforgettable learning adventure at The Florida Aquarium in Tampa. Explore diverse habitats with vibrant species at the perfect pace for your classes, education groups, and summer camps with a self-guided field trip:

- 10 students minimum for discounted rates
- $50 non-refundable deposit due 3 business days after reservation is made
- Memberships not valid for field trip admission
- Pricing below valid only for the current school year

Chaperones
Chaperones help ensure a safe and successful visit to The Florida Aquarium. Groups must meet the required number of chaperones. Additional chaperones are welcome for an added fee. Please use the guidelines below to plan for your trip.
We require one chaperone for every 10 youth (1:10) although one chaperone per every 5 youth (1:5) is permitted. Teachers are counted in the chaperone-to-student ratio.
Please note: There is an individual fee of $30 per adult if your chaperones exceed a 1:5 ratio. Additional adults must be included in your reservation.

Add an Educational Program
From hands-on discovery to scientific investigation and squid dissection, you can enhance your field trip experience by adding on one of The Florida Aquarium’s engaging education programs led by Aquarium experts.
Lunch Options
Your group will have access to the Sea Star Pavilion picnic area during your assigned lunchtime. You may bring lunches or pre-order from Café Seventy One with at least two weeks’ notice. All Cafe Ray group orders must be placed in advance.
Reservation Tips
Please have two or three possible date options in the event that your first choice is not available. Dates can book quickly as the Aquarium does have a daily group capacity.
A 30-minute lunch time will be assigned to groups eating lunch at the Aquarium during their visit. Groups can bring lunches with them or preorder from the Aquarium. All group lunches must be preordered at least two weeks prior to your visit. To preorder your lunch, please complete the lunch order request form.
Any changes to your program-including cancellations/postponements, change group totals-must be made by calling (813) 273-4015 or emailing education@flaquarium.org. A voicemail message or email is sufficient for cancellation notice.
