The Florida Aquarium Unveils New Ticketing System to Enhance Guest Experience Amid Record Attendance
Tampa, FL – In response to unprecedented growth and to continue providing exceptional guest experiences, The Florida Aquarium is making enhancements to its guest visitation and ticketing procedures. Following a record-breaking year that welcomed nearly 1.1 million guests, the Aquarium is implementing new measures to help ensure the enjoyment of all guests.
New Ticketing and Timed Entry Process
Beginning Saturday, March 9th, the Aquarium will be requiring advanced ticket purchases, and both guests and members will need to make a reservation during a designated timeframe. Advance tickets and reservations are currently available online at the Aquarium’s website, flaquarium.org.
Reserved Valet and Parking
The Aquarium is now offering online advanced parking reservations at nearby parking garages in the downtown area, as well as pre-paid valet parking at the Aquarium’s front entrance. Parking and valet can be purchased online at the Aquarium’s website after a ticket purchase and/or reservation has been made. The City of Tampa’s hourly parking lot at Cumberland and Channelside Drive remains open on a first-come, first-served basis.
Extended Spring Break Hours
In anticipation of increased demand during Spring Break when several area school districts are closed, the Aquarium will extend its closing time by an hour from Sunday, March 10 through Sunday, March 17, operating from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. The Aquarium continues to explore the option of adjusting hours throughout the entire spring break season into April in response to demand and guests are encouraged to check the website or social media channels for updated information.
A Proven System for Success
“The Florida Aquarium anticipates our one million-guest trend will continue for years to come, and we are grateful for the continued support and understanding of our guests, members, and the community as we make this transition,” said Debbi Stone, SVP of Guest Experience & Learning. “These enhancements are designed with our guests’ best interests at heart, ensuring that the Aquarium remains a top destination for education, conservation, and enjoyment.”
The changes reflect the Aquarium’s adaptation and success in managing guest experiences with a process that was implemented during pandemic and is used by other attractions across the region and country.
