The Florida Aquarium Celebrates 813 Day with Animal Enrichment, Special Deals, and Community Conservation Fundraiser
TAMPA, FL – Eight African penguins exploring the Shark Reef. One double yellow-headed parrot soaring. Three playful North American river otters spinning for treats. Together, they’re helping The Florida Aquarium kick off Tampa’s favorite hometown holiday—813 Day—with animal enrichment inspired by the city’s iconic area code. The special activities encourage natural behaviors while keeping the Aquarium’s animals active and engaged.

In addition to seeing the animals, guests visiting the Aquarium on August 13 can take part in exclusive 813 Day savings and join the community in supporting marine conservation.
- Guests can receive $8.13 off general admission when purchasing tickets at The Florida Aquarium ticket window on August 13.
- Visitors can enjoy Tampa-inspired specials at Café Seventy One, including Tampa Tenders and Orange Cone vanilla ice cream.
- The Aquarium is also partnering with Sparkman Wharf on a community social media campaign that turns Tampa pride into conservation impact.
From August 1–16, Sparkman Wharf will donate $5 to The Florida Aquarium for every photo shared in front of the specially decorated TAMPA sign, up to $1,000. To participate in the fundraiser:

For more than 30 years, The Florida Aquarium has been a cornerstone of downtown Tampa, inspiring guests to care for marine wildlife through education, research, and rehabilitation.
