We’re excited to announce our first Penguin Waddle Week, and you’re invited to join the fun! Get ready for a week of waddles, wonder, and up-close encounters with one of the world’s most lovable and most at-risk animals as we celebrate World Penguin Day all week long.

Join us April 20-26 to explore even more ways to dive into the fun, including:

🐧Daily Penguin Waddle
Watch our African penguins parade through the lobby in an adorable daily waddle, happening every day at 2:45 PM. Join in early for interactive activities starting at 2:30 PM.

🐾 Up-Close Animal Encounters
Meet some of the Aquarium’s most popular residents like Apaporis and Liana the sloths, Salvator the Asian water monitor lizard, and more during special pop-up encounters and photo opportunities Monday–Wednesday, Friday–Sunday at 10:30 AM and Thursday at 11:30 AM.

🎶 Live Music & Characters
Have fun with the whole family with daily Aquatunes performances and photo opportunities with Rocky the penguin, Tango the turtle, and Xochi the axolotl.

📖 Storytime
Little ones can “huddle up” for charming penguin tales like “Penguins, Penguins, Everywhere,” “Tacky the Penguin,” and “Little Penguin Gets the Hiccups” each morning at 10:30 AM

🕘 Extended Hours
Take advantage of our extended hours and explore more from 9 AM to 5 PM all week long.

Bring home special memorabilia, try penguin-themed treats from Café Seventy One, or symbolically adopt a penguin through our Animal Adopt program.
