Tampa, FL (November 10, 2023) Who says Floridians can’t experience the magic of snow? The Florida Aquarium is excited to announce the return of Snow Days, a cherished holiday tradition in Tampa, offering even more icy excitement this year.

Snow Days promises a 100 percent chance of snow on Saturdays and Sundays, November 25-December 24 from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Additionally, there will be extended winter magic hours from 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. every day, December 26-30 and 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on December 31. Snow Days is free for members and included with general admission.

The Aquarium will be hosting a sensory-friendly Snow Days event on Thursday, December 21 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Advance tickets are required for this event.

Guests are invited to grab their gloves and immerse themselves in a variety of hands-on winter festivities. The “Sno-Fly Zone” will feature a snowball toss and the popular snowball slingshot. The young and young at heart will let their creative side shine through with snow painting—where the snow becomes their canvas. There will be dashing through the ‘snow’ maze and dancing on the rooftop terrace. Other frost-free activities will include street curling, snowball cornhole and more.

“There is a flurry of activities for people of all ages to experience at Snow Days. Guests can savor this seasonal taste of our winter wonderland—without leaving the warmth of Tampa, while also exploring the world of thousands of amazing animals in our habitats and exhibits,” said Crysta Miller, The Florida Aquarium’s Events and Promotions Manager.

No holiday celebration is complete without a visit from the jolliest of all. Santa will be making several stops at The Florida Aquarium before he heads back to the North Pole.
