Tampa, Fla. – The Polar Express™ 4-D Experience rolls into The Florida Aquarium’s 4 Ducks Theater for the holiday season. The Polar Express™ 4-D Experience will be screened daily from Saturday, November 30, 2019 – through January 2020. This innovative and exciting experience was designed by SimEx-Iwerks Entertainment in close collaboration with The Florida Aquarium. The Polar Express™ 4-D Experience will run twice within the hour, alternating showings of Being Dolphin 4D®. Plus, it’s FREE with a general admission ticket purchase.
The Polar Express™ 4-D Experience is based on the film from Warner Bros. Pictures and Shangri-La Entertainment and inspired by the beloved Caldecott Medal children’s book by Chris Van Allsburg. It combines the visual drama of a 3-D film with a variety of 4-D sensory effects that are built into the seats and theater environment, bringing the on-screen images to life.
Guests are immersed in the experience as they follow a doubting young boy as he takes an extraordinary train ride to the North Pole. He embarks on an epic journey of self-discovery that shows him that the wonder of life never fades for those who believe.
The 50-seat theater delivers a high-definition viewing experience in digital 3-D with 4-D multi-sensory effects, which include wind, water mists, scents, FX lighting, vibrations, bubbles, and more. These films will captivate the whole family! The theater holds 50 guests per showing with 15-minute films running multiple times per hour between the hours of 10:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. The 4-D theater is located in the Aquarium's outdoor plaza, near The Splash Pad.
The Polar Express™ 4-D Experience is distributed by SimEx-Iwerks, through a license agreement with Warner Bros. Consumer Products. SimEx-Iwerks is the leading innovator of immersive 3-D and 4-D attractions and the exclusive distributor of the industry’s best selling film titles.
