Education Presenter

The Florida Aquarium Education Department is currently accepting applications for a Part-Time and a Full-Time Education Presenter.
These positions are responsible for the delivery of public presentations in all areas of the aquarium and eco-tour vessel, primarily dive shows, fee-based tours, and Bay Spirit II eco-tours, as well as assisting with exhibit talks, gallery walks, activity carts, animal encounters, and touch tanks. Ensures all programming presented is engaging, innovative and effective, as determined by evaluation, and in direct support of the mission of The Florida Aquarium. Passion for children, animals, the environment, and teaching is a must. Candidates must be available to work  on weekends, holidays and occasional evening shifts. Candidates should be pursuing a degree in education, environmental studies or related discipline, have experience working with children and volunteers, display exemplary team work and customer service skills. Public speaking skills are required.
The Full-Time position offers benefits upon successful completion of a ninety day probationary period.

Maintenance Technician I

The Florida Aquarium is currently accepting applications for a full-time Maintenance Technician I.
This position is responsible for maintaining the Explore-A-Shore water park area to include assisting with general testing, cleanliness and order, upkeep, maintenance, repair and improvement as well as assisting with the  general upkeep, maintenance, repair and improvement of the aquarium facility as directed by the immediate supervisor.
Must have a high school diploma/GED and a minimum of two years of facility maintenance or trade specific experience is preferred.
The schedule will primarily be Tuesday-Saturday 8am-5pm.

Birthday Party Host

The Florida Aquarium is currently accepting applications for Part-Time Birthday Party Hosts.
These positions are responsible for the delivery of birthday parties both on-site and off-site for The Florida Aquarium; stocking and preparing materials and supplies for upcoming scheduled birthday parties and ensuring that all programs presented are effective and meet or exceed the needs/expectations of the customer, as determined by evaluation, and in direct support of the purpose/vision/mission/values of The Florida Aquarium.
Requirements:
Experience working with children in a formal and/or informal setting;
Experience in customer service and problem solving techniques;
Animal handling experience preferred;
Program development in a formal and/or informal setting preferred;
Working knowledge of Word for Windows, databases and spreadsheets

Environmental Services Associate

The Florida Aquarium is currently accepting applications for a Full-Time Environmental Services Associate to work the day shift.
This position is responsible for the daily cleaning of the interior and exterior (sweeping, mopping dusting, scrubbing, etc. utilizing specific equipment designed to accomplish the assigned task) property of the aquarium and providing excellent customer service contact while maintaining a friendly and professional image at all times. This position will conduct regular inspections of all guest areas to insure cleanliness standards are maintained, performing spot cleaning as necessary.
Requirements:
Must be willing to work weekends and holidays; must have a working knowledge of cleaning maintenance equipment, supplies, techniques and procedures; High School Diploma/GED is preferred as well as prior work experience in the customer service industry.

Manager of Individual Giving

The Florida Aquarium's Development Team is currently accepting applications for a Full-Time Manager of Individual Giving.
This position is responsible primarily for securing contributions from individuals with an emphasis on upgrading VIP members, recruiting new Aquarist Circle donors, and creating a sustainable and expanding base of regular, renewable donors to The Aquarium’s programs, projects and priorities. Importance given to growing the Aquarist Circle level of giving ($1,000+), leading to capital contributions and planned gifts, and the overall growth of the donor base.  Also responsible for donor management, accurate record-keeping, gift reporting, tracking, acknowledgment and recognition.
Requirements: 
College graduate; three years of experience in a development department, foundation or other not-for-profit setting, preferably focusing on annual giving, individual gifts, prospect/donor management; database management skills, preferably with Raisers Edge; computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Excel, Power Point, Access, Scheduler, Mail).
