Main Galleries:

  • Wetlands - Explore Florida's freshwater environments, including springs, streams, marshes, rivers and mangrove forests. Come face-to-face with otters, spoonbills, gators and snakes. Climb to the top of the dome to check out Aquariumania! An exhibit dedicated to home aquariums.
  • Bays and Beaches - Discover sea life along Florida's coast, such as bonnethead sharks, seahorses, spiny lobsters, stingrays and a 350 lb. grouper!
  • Coral Reefs - Plunge 60 feet below the surface into a colorful coral grotto called Sherwood Forest without ever getting wet! Home to more than 2,300 fish including moray eels, grouper, tarpon, Queen Triggerfish and much, much more! Guests age 6 and over can 'Swim with the Fishes' in this 500,000-gallon tank! Learn more.
  • Ocean Commotion - Encounter the world's most fascinating predators: sharks, a giant Pacific octopus, lionfishand more! Certified SCUBA divers age 15 and older can 'Dive with the Sharks' in Shark Bay! Learn more.

  • Dive with the Sharks - Dive with the Sharks provides a unique opportunity for certified SCUBA divers, age 15 and older, to come face-to-face with live sharks!
  • Swim with the Fishes - Swim with the Fishes is an in-water reef adventure that gives you the opportunity to encounter one of the Florida Keys' most beautiful coral reef dive sites without being a certified SCUBA diver.
  • Penguin Promenade - The Florida Aquarium has a unique opportunity for guests to come face-to-beak with African Black-footed penguins! The penguins come out to meet and greet our guests during daily Penguin Promenades with each pair showcased during the enriching interaction with our guests.
  • Education Programs - Choose from on-site classes, outreach into schools through our Water Wheels program, boat and field programs, Teacher Workshops, sleepovers and much more!
  • Dragons Down Under - Here be dragons! Not legendary dragons, but real live sea dragons from the other side of the world. Fabulous and rare, sea dragons are fantasies come to life!
  • Explore A Shore - The Florida Aquarium's 2-acre outdoor water adventure zone lets the kids cool off while parents relax under the shade of the Tampa Tribune Cantina bar and grill.
  • Wild Dolphin Ecotours - Tampa Bay is home to more than 500 bottlenose dolphins and is one of the best places in Florida to view endangered manatees and numerous species of birds, many of which are threatened or endangered.
  • Penguins: Backstage Pass - The Penguin Backstage Pass is a new 30-minute Behind the Scenes experience where guests get the opportunity to interact with penguins in an up-close and personal setting.
