Boat Crew Member
The Florida Aquarium is seeking a friendly, customer focused person to function as a crew member for our Bay Spirit II Eco-Tour boat. Duties include onboarding passengers, throwing and tying lines, assisting guests on the vessel and conducting safety checks. The person will work three days per week and should be available on weekends. The ability to expand the schedule is a plus.
Position is $8.25 per hour.
Seasonal Full Time Boat Captain
FT position available providing eco boat tours in Tampa Bay.
Minimum three years experience in operating excursion vessels for the public or private charters. USCG license for a 50 gross tons, General maintenance experience a plus.
Human Resources Assistant
Our organization is growing and we are seeking a detail oriented and personable assistant to support our Human Resources functions. This is a part time position Monday – Friday. Responsibilities will include onboarding new employees, backup support to payroll, data entry in HRIS and benefit systems, reviewing resumes and interviewing. Prefer Human Resources degree or work experience in a Human Resources office.
Come join our dive master team. We are hiring for part time positions. $9.50 per hour.
This position works with our dive team creating memorable experiences for our dive guests. You will be responsible for guest dive experience programs in a safety diver capacity; Supervise the in water safety of children; Serves as a greeter for Shark Dive Experience to include greeting guests, presentation, and registration paperwork; Prepare guest dive experience equipment and materials; Perform routine and as needed equipment repairs and cleaning and securing equipment at the end of each shift; Maintain current dive certifications.
Dive Master or equivalent from a nationally recognized SCUBA training organization
Current certification in First Aid, CPR and Oxygen administration
Underwater liability insurance required
Good presentation and public speaking skills
Previous experience diving with sharks preferred
Previous experience working with children’s water safety programs a plus
One 3mm or 5mm wetsuit
Reimbursement of PADI or NAUI membership dues up to the dive master level
