Administrative volunteers assist behind the scenes at the Aquarium with general office work, mailings, phone calls, organizing, filing and data entry. Minimum age for this position is 16 years old.   



Our Conservation Volunteers take part in Aquarium organized clean-ups, plantings and restoration projects. This position offers a flexible schedule and opportunities for corporate groups and families with children.


Assist with the underwater maintenance of the exhibits, underwater archeology, ship wreck surveys, Guest Dive Programs or star in one of our daily dive shows.  Our volunteer diving program offers one of a kind training for new or experienced divers. Minimum age for this position is 18 years old.   


Event volunteers help us make unforgettable experiences for our guests.  These volunteers  promote the aquarium during evening events, greet and guide guests as they enter, act as gallery hosts and assist our event coordinators. These positions are great for outgoing, customer service oriented people. Minimum age for this position is 16 years old.   


Our Gallery Ambassadors are the face of the Aquarium.  They direct guests around the facility, answer questions about programs and animals, teach the public about conservation, and help us provide excellent customer service.  Volunteers in this position will be trained on animal life history facts and animal identification. Minimum age for this position is 16 years old.   


Guest Engagement volunteers work as gallery hosts answering questions and sharing the natural history of Florida with our guests.  These volunteers staff our "hands-on" touch tank exhibits allowing guests the opportunity to meet some of our oceans most unique animals up close. Minimum age for this position is 16 years old.     


As one of our front line staff you will be the first ones to greet guests and inform them about the incredible experiences we offer at the aquarium.  Assist the Guest Services team in answering questions, taking tickets, greeting school groups and adding value to the guest experience. Minimum age for this position is 18 years old.   


Horticultural volunteers assist our facility horticulturist with the daily and weekly maintenance of our living botanical collection.  They water plants, prune and plant the Wetlands Gallery, assist with beneficial insect releases and maintain the aquarium’s hydro farm! Minimum age for this position is 16 years old.   


Husbandry volunteers assist biologists with the care and maintenance of our living biological collection.  This department has a wide variety of opportunities including cleaning animal exhibits, preparing diets, feeding animals, testing the exhibit water, presenting animal shows and providing veterinary care.  This department is also responsible for preparing the aquarium galleries for opening on a daily basis. Minimum age for this position is 18 years old.   


Marketing volunteers help promote events, implement marketing strategies and assist with advertising for the aquarium.  This active and creative team is the backbone for driving attendance and informing the public about our organization. Minimum age for this position is 18 years old.   


The volunteers on our Wild Dolphin Eco-Tour will assist the crew during tours by monitoring guest safety, watching for dolphins, interacting with guests and answering questions during the tours. Minimum age for this position is 16 years old.
