Position Title:        Operations Assistant Supervisor
Service Group:      Guest Services
Reports to:             Operations Supervisor
Exemption Status: Non-Exempt (FT)

Position Summary
Assist and support Operations Supervisor during evening hours. Support evening event operations, including but not limited to, set up/tear down, and supervision and staffing of all guest service and security employees and functions. Reporting and closing out evening procedures and personnel.  Ensures life support alarm procedures are executed to the highest degree of excellence to protect our animal collection.  Assists with reports, SOPs, and other guest services duties as requested. 

Essential Position Functions
  • Assists in supervision of evening operations of Guest Services staff
  • Reporting and closing out evening procedures.
  • Completes logs, reports, and incident forms as necessary.
  • Inspects all areas inside and out.  Conducts evening rounds of the Aquarium.
  • Supports evening Life Support/Engineering and contractor work
  • Proficient in life support alarm systems and able to conduct observations for Husbandry and basic troubleshooting for emergencies for Life Support. 
  • Supports evening Events, Security Staff and Vendors
  • Acts as a user for all camera systems.  Can review, catalog and maintain important footage.
  • Act as a user for door, key, and gate access control.
  • Understand and acknowledge the alarm systems and where the points are located.
  • Assist in data processing, compilation, scheduling, and database reporting
  • Parking lot audits, filing, and data entry as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned by Operations Supervisor

Educational Requirements and Technical Skills
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • 1-year of experience in security or related field
  • Experience in coordinating with fire, rescue and law enforcement during incidents.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
  • Knowledge of security camera operation
