Reservationist

Responsible for answering all incoming school reservations calls and community programs reservations, quoting appropriate rates based on specific needs. Reserving programs and program spaces for education and for the guest dive programs. Full Job description available here.


Director of Operations

The Director of Operations is responsible for all functions of admissions, guest relations, quality assurance, security, environmental services, membership sales, premium product sales (AVE), traffic control and overall daily operations of the Aquarium.  Develops and trains a team of customer-service-oriented personnel to ensure the highest quality of guest relations.  The Director ensures that all guests are provided with a positive, memorable and safe experience throughout their entire visit to the aquarium. Admissions Associate- PT and/or seasonal
 

Seeking energetic and passionate individuals wanting to provide exceptional guest experience at an educational and engaging attraction.  Cash handling and sales experience preferred.  Commissions may be available.  Ability to work accurately in a high volume sales environment.  Cross training with the outside water play area may be available.  Flexible schedule including 3 full days, holidays, weekends, and occasional nights.  Other duties as assigned.

Outside Water Play Associate- PT and/or Seasonal
 

Seeking energetic and attentive individuals wanting to provide exceptional guest experience in a water play atmosphere (similar to a lifeguard position).  Experience with children required.  Interact, intrigue, and provide a safe environment for kids of all ages in our brand new Splash Pad area.  Standing in Florida weather for long periods of time is a key component.  Cleaning, sanitizing, and supervising the area for an enjoyable setting by all.  Cross training with the admissions department may be available.   Flexible schedule including 3 full days, holidays, weekends, and occasional nights.  Other duties as assigned.

Education Sleepover Instructor
 
The Florida Aquarium is seeking a fun, responsible and energetic Sleepover Instructor to deliver engaging programs for youths ages 6 and up!  The instructor needs to ensure that all programs presented are customer service focused and meet or exceed the needs/expectations of the guests and in direct support of the purpose/vision/mission/values of The Florida Aquarium.  The instructor needs to work well on a team as well as individually and is also responsible for preparing materials and organizing supplies.  A schedule of staffing needs, which varies from month to month, goes out a month in advance and staff are asked to provide at least two available dates per month. Job is based on per-sleepover only, and not a strict guaranteed part-time schedule.  Comfort with animal handling preferred by not required.
 
Pay rate is $10.00 per hour.
