Communications Manager
The Communications Manager is responsible for managing all publicity efforts including:  media relations, social media initiatives and public affairs coordination for The Florida Aquarium.  Creates and executes a communications plan designed to increase awareness of and support for the Aquarium’s Vision and Mission, thereby strengthening the Aquarium’s branded image and generating attendance.  Responsible for the day-to-day department management, including:  budgeting, workflows, evaluation and assessment of deadlines, regular communication with other department managers, issues management, writing and editing of key communications materials. Senior Biologist
Assist the Fish and Invertebrates Team to achieve The Florida Aquarium’s mission to entertain, educate, and inspire stewardship about our natural environment by exemplifying the Aquarium’s values of Respect, Trust, and Excellence.  Directly work with the aquarium’s marine fish and invertebrates and other animals within our collection.  Perform essential and secondary job functions in accordance with guidelines set and approved by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA) and other safety regulatory agencies. Entertainer I

*Auditions and interviews have passed for this season and positions are filled, but we will keep your resume on file should the need for emergency casting arise or positions open before official auditions return in Spring.

Character appearances (either in Costume or as Escort) multiple times per day in assigned locations. Perform Character appearances (either in Costume or as Escort) for special events, media or promotional purposes.  Assist in the development and presentation of new guest encounters.  Act as a brand ambassador for The Florida Aquarium. Entertainer II

Admissions Associate- PT and/or seasonal
Seeking energetic and passionate individuals wanting to provide exceptional guest experience at an educational and engaging attraction.  Cash handling and sales experience preferred.  Commissions may be available.  Ability to work accurately in a high volume sales environment.  Cross training with the outside water play area may be available.  Flexible schedule including 3 full days, holidays, weekends, and occasional nights.  Other duties as assigned.

Outside Water Play Associate- PT and/or Seasonal
 

Seeking energetic and attentive individuals wanting to provide exceptional guest experience in a water play atmosphere (similar to a lifeguard position).  Experience with children required.  Interact, intrigue, and provide a safe environment for kids of all ages in our brand new Splash Pad area.  Standing in Florida weather for long periods of time is a key component.  Cleaning, sanitizing, and supervising the area for an enjoyable setting by all.  Cross training with the admissions department may be available.   Flexible schedule including 3 full days, holidays, weekends, and occasional nights.  Other duties as assigned.
