The Florida Aquarium Shipwreck Dive Adventure

About the experience

Take a dive into the beauty, biodiversity and history of wild Florida below the water's surface with shipwreck adventures in the Gulf of Mexico! Explore some of the region's significant shipwreck sites and dazzlingly diverse sea life, all while accompanied by The Florida Aquarium's dive experts.

This adventure departs from Fort DeSoto National Park on The Florida Aquarium's watercraft and includes dives at two separate shipwreck sites. Lunch is provided. 


This program costs $100 per person and accomodates up to six guests and is available for those who are SCUBA certified (please bring valid certification card) and at least 15 years old.

Experience agenda
(Approximate schedule, subject to revision due to tides, weather or other circumstances).

7:30 a.m. Shipwreck Dive Adventure begins. Meet Aquarium boat crew at Fort DeSoto boat ramp.

- Depart from dock and navigate to local dive site(s). Sites vary depending on sea conditions and visibility. Dive will range from 45-50 feet in depth.

- First dive

- Surface Interval (break)

- Second Dive

1:30 p.m. Back on board vessel and begin return to Fort DeSoto boat ramp.

2:30 p.m. On shore; logbook stamps and photo sharing.
