Apollo Beach, Fla., (Dec. 30, 2016) – The Florida Aquarium has collaborated with Tampa Electric Co. (TECO) to open a new stingray touch experience at the Manatee Viewing Center (MVC) in Apollo Beach.
The People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) recently issued false filed animal food deprivation claims against The Florida Aquarium in regard to its stingrays and a nurse shark.

Hi all! This is Kathy Heym from The Florida Aquarium on Expedition North Carolina with OCEARCH! The last two days we've been anchored inshore due to strong winds and weather that are preventing us from working the offshore fishing sites. We went through a wicked storm two nights ago that soaked everyone on board, and since then the wind has really kicked up and made boating difficult.
